Edge Manager
Edge Manager is the TrendMiner interface for system and network admins. It contains mainly functionality to keep your TrendMiner installation healthy and up-to-date. ConfigHub on the other side is the interface for application admins. It contains mainly TrendMiner specific configuration options. To learn more about the difference between Edge manager and ConfigHub, please check this page.
Edge Manager looks different depending on your installation type (if in doubt about which type of installation you have, you can find more info in our installation guide or check this page):
SaaS: Edge Manager is not available to SaaS customers since all functionality from Edge Manager is covered by the SaaS contract and therefore SaaS customers do not need Edge Manager access.
Virtual appliances (on-premises only): since no Linux console access is available for customers for this type of installation Edge Manager contains some additional menu's for virtual appliance configuration which are not available for single node and private cloud installations.
Single node/private cloud: since single node installations imply that the OS and network and system config are maintained by the customer less menu options are not available in Edge Manager for these types of installation.
Edge Manager is available as of the 2023.R3.0 release and replaces the former so called 'appliance interface' (<url>/appliance). Edge Manager can be accessed on the following url:
If SSL is not enabled: http://<trendminer_url>:8080
If SSL is enabled: https://<trendminer_url>/edge
In case you have issues accessing Edge Manager, please check this page for more info.
The default password after a clean installation is 'admin'.
Important
As of 2024.R1.0 the Edge Manager and ConfigHub logins are separated.
