Migration of application data from the existing server to the new server
Once the new server is set up correctly and the old server is upgraded to the exact same 2024.R2.0-XX version the data can be migrated from the old to the new server.
There are 3 supported migration options:
Remote backup/restore using Azure Blob Storage or an AWS S3 bucket (strongly recommended)
Local custom S3 backup/restore using an on-prem AWS S3 API (v4) compatible storage location (only supported as of the 2024.R2.1 release)
Local database backup/restore (not recommended)
