How to connect to GE Proficy?
  1. Per version of GE Proficy a different installation package for the TrendMiner connector is provided. To check the Proficy version number please open the control panel on your historian server -> Program and features -> Search for 'Proficy' and it will show you which Proficy software is installed on your server. Please note down your version.

  2. Download the correct connector installation/upgrade package from our download site. Next to the standard connector package you'll find download links to specific historian versions. If you cannot find the correct installation package or you are in doubt please contact us.

    Note

    The default connector cannot be used to connect to Proficy 7.0 or later. If you accidentally use the wrong installation/upgrade package to install/upgrade your connector your connection to your Proficy historian will not work/break but it can easily be fixed by 'upgrading' your connector with the correct package.

  3. Install the connector.

  4. Copy your historian's "Proficy.Historian.ClientAccess.API.dll" to the Plant Integrations bin folder. The default location would be: C:\inetpub\PlantIntegrations\bin
