License details
A TrendMiner license file can grant or restrict access on different levels, which are elaborated on this page:
License expiration: each license has 1 global expiration date. If a license is expired access to all hubs (including ConfigHub) is disabled. Access to Edge Manager remains available at all times.
User Licenses: user license roles determine which functionality is available to individual users. The user license overview shows how many seats are available per user license role.
Notice
Seats can only be assigned to individual users or groups as of TrendMiner version 2026.R4.
System Quotas: system quotas determine data limits in the product, independent of which user owns or creates the data. System quotas are global (per installation).
System License features: system license features determine which features are available on the installation, independent of the user roles.
The license permissions documented here are independent of the data access permissions which are configured in ConfigHub access management or ContextHub platform configuration.
To determine if a specific user can perform an action the different permission levels need to be checked:
the user license needs to allow the user to log in and use the feature (user license);
the feature must be enabled on the installation (system license feature);
the system quota is not yet reached;
the user has permissions to access the data (e.g. ConfigHub access management).
