Description

The infrastructure admin is responsible for installation and maintenance of the TrendMiner servers on infrastructure, network and security level.

The system admin is responsible for the TrendMiner data source connections, user management and other configuration.

The application administrator can do basic configuration and troubleshooting in the TrendMiner application.

Required skills

Basic network and security skills, basic Linux knowledge, no or little TrendMiner knowledge required.

VM console access, RDP access to TrendMiner connector server (if applicable).

Account

1 hardcoded account, only password required for login

1 hardcoded "admin" account with enforced 2FA.

Regular TrendMiner user accounts with "System Administrator" role.

Regular TrendMiner user accounts with "Application Administrator" role.

Password recovery

No self-service recovery. Contact TrendMiner support in case of lost password.

Hardcoded admin account password and 2FA can be reset via Edge Manager.

Regular user account passwords can be reset by other system administrators in ConfigHub.
