Virtual Appliance
Installing and configuring TrendMiner consists of five steps:
Prepare
Provision hardware or cloud resources following at least the minimum requirements, including disk speed.
Look for internal IT experts that can provide (self) signed certificates to secure the webserver, provide information on identity management for secure logins, network configuration to address firewall policies, and mail configuration to allow for real-time monitoring.
Install
Install the TrendMiner package following the available instructions.
Configure
Complete the configuration of TrendMiner. This includes, but is not limited to, securing the webserver with SSL, configuring an NTP server, configuring mail relay and setting up identity management.
Connect
Connect TrendMiner to your data sources: install the Plant Integrations connector, configure the data source connections and set up access rights for users.
Validate
Before onboarding new users, validate that data is flowing into TrendMiner and performance is good.
